I can't believe that the month of January is almost over. I suppose that when one is unemployed, time moves a bit differently. I haven't been completely useless though. I have read the behemoth that is "Under the Dome" by Stephen King. This whopper weighs in at 1072 pages. A delightful read. It did admittedly take a few chapter to get 'into' it. What I have learned from Mr. King is this: No matter what monsters, aliens, natural phenomenon, plagues, or supernatural occurrences that might exist/happen, nothing, absolutely nothing, is scarier or more horrifying than human nature. The plausible actions of the "ordinary" people in his books are the things nightmares are made of. I have delved into the ocean of music and caught the Cocteau Twins. Once again it seems as if I am 20 some odd years late on that one. Kind of sucks, but it makes the listening no less scrumptious. Who knew that This Mortal Coil was a side project?
