Around the Neck

The necklace experiment has gone smashingly well so far. I'm very excited to post what I have done. Maybe tomorrow. Time really gets away from me lately. When I'm not tying knots, I'm reading, when I'm not reading, I'm sleeping, or working, or trying to go to the bathroom, or gardening. So little time. Fresh patches of Petechia have introduced themselves. Ggrrrr, I was hoping that I would never see them again. It's also quite evident that I am highly allergic to mosquitos. Is this a common problem? I must wikipedia this. Speaking of: I got off on a tangent about Mr. Chapman the other night. I came across a letter from Letters of Note , a pretty cool website devoted to letters from history/famous people. Anyway, I never realized that I knew absolutely nothing about the murder of John Lennon. I knew that he was shot, but that was it. Thanks to Wikipedia, I now know a little too much. I could have done without the fact that after shooting John Lennon he stayed on ...

Flowers make me smile. My sister thinks the whole gardening thing is a waste of time. I couldn't disagree more. Working in the yard is something that I really enjoy. I haven't always though. It's a recent thing. Walking outside and seeing how big the flowers are, or spotting new blooms, creates a happy feeling that I can't exactly describe. I'm still pretty clueless on plants and what they are named or where to plant certain ones, but I'm learning. I am still in shock over the tree that I bought my mom for mothers day a few years ago. I was almost certain that it didn't survive the winter. Branches were snapping off and almost a third of it turned grey. It's bigger and fuller than it's ever been, though. Getting over a sickness. I feel guilty because people around me seem to have the same thing and they are STILL not feeling well. I think a swift kick to the derriere is in order if they can't get their immune systems in check, stat. One day off ...

Birthday

Image
I've had a really great birthday weekend. Went to Biloxi AND New Orleans for the festival. That city really changes from day to night. Gotta be flexible and not stress about anything. It all works out.

April Seventh

On the eve of my 29th birthday, I hope to dream of better things than drowning or being shot.

Fools Day

Cherish the moments you have, because you never know what awaits around the corner. I'm taking it to heart. I know I'm beginning to sound like a broken record. What I've been spewing the past week has gotten obnoxious, even to my ears. Just anxious and worried, but that doesn't mean that I am lacking love or hope. So incredibly grateful for those that surround me. I am very lucky.
