Oasis

Maybe I could find words in waves. Maybe I could find the winding roads and the blinding lights and the thrown todays and maybe I would feel the wall and know what to say.

Don't worry. You'll never notice. If you do: You won't feel a thing.

The Anatomy of Grey

Meredith Grey: A couple of hundred years ago, Benjamin Franklin shared with the world the secret of his success. Never leave that till tomorrow, he said, which you can do today. This is the man who discovered electricity. You think more people would listen to what he had to say. I don't know why we put things off, but if I had to guess, I'd have to say it has a lot to do with fear. Fear of failure, fear of rejection, sometimes the fear is just of making a decision, because what if you're wrong? What if you're making a mistake you can't undo? The early bird catches the worm. A stitch in time saves nine. He who hesitates is lost. We can't pretend we hadn't been told. We've all heard the proverbs, heard the philosophers, heard our grandparents warning us about wasted time, heard the damn poets urging us to seize the day. Still sometimes we have to see for ourselves. We have to make our own mistakes. We have to learn our own lessons. We have to sweep today...

River Daze

"You can't splash me!!! -- dramatic pause -- "I'm connected to the music!" "Don't compromise the string!" "What if starts raining?" -- Looks at the water we are currently floating in -- "We're already wet genius."

Free Writing

Press Play > Take me by the hand and tell me you would take me anywhere. I scraped my knees while I was praying and found a demon in my safest haven. My sleeves are stained red with all the truth I've said. So take it easy, I'll make it so easy. Branches and grass are covered in ash and blood. Baby, that's what I'll give if that's what it takes. I love the way that your heart breaks. I've never been so ashamed. My arms around your neck, my fingers laced a crown. Limping on two legs again. Press Pause II You are not allowed to because you want to. She has to wear a red jumpsuit. Mary Poppins said my name! Stop writing stuff like that. I should have bet you. Do you have a time line? I don't understand, what you're doing, I don't understand it. I'm taking a chance. Why does it matter to you anyway. We're coming over. Don't speak in absolutes. Look, my heartbeat is changing to match yours. You hit me too hard that time. Please send more ly...

Choo Choo

My circle train of thought: "Remember that bruise? It's kind of turned into a heart shape." Funny domestic violence conversation with the police. "But even the bruises are saying sorry and I love you." I haven't watched last weeks Rookie Blue yet! Good episode! I can't believe she shot someone, they did great with the slow motion. Wait, what's that song. That's a great song! Google Rookie Blue music by episode. The Beacon by A Fine Frenzy Look up lyrics "You say your time has come, you're tired of waking up. Don't be obscene, I can't conceive of living with you. You say you drag me down, No one should want you now. I start to cry, you kiss my eyes and say I'm not allowed to." Sit in silence Remember that conversation earlier in the day. "No apologies. Not allowed remember? Your rule."

She Said

"Would you like the company of icicle me?" ~ Tegan and Sara lyrics translated by me. I think if I was in a punk rock video, I'd look/act just like Sara in their Northshore video. I mean her kind of vacant stare and weird rocking motions. It's incredibly endearing to see her try though. Seems like she even internalizes punk. My favorite part of the video is Tegan's sideways look at the very very beginning. Northshore Video

Don't Me

A rounded corner glances crumpled sheets Double take Setting suns fractured through windows shattered Reconstruct from white to amorphous blood-like dripping Striations laid down innocently Crinkled blinking restores A night spent restless and turned Battles lost as bodies fallen Corpses of blankets that couldn't hold on Double take Questions unasked with tilted heads A refuge for dreams with cloth that cradles Or a cage of twisted netting Hostages held for nightmare viewing Unwilling Double take Steps retreated softer than echoes Whispered in dreams under shadows Defer the inevitable until Trepidation settles numbed in hollowed out crevices of minds riddled with thoughts Unwanted Double take

They

They say she was talking They say it was any ordinary day They say she 'fainted' They say her heart stopped They say they couldn't get it started again They say she's gone
