So This Is Summer

Image
I hope everyone had a great weekend. I did for sure. I spent the weekend in Pensacola, FL. It was VERY hot! But lots of fun was had for sure. While I was there I managed to visit the zoo. It's one of the smaller one's I've been to, but it's very charming! They had a beautiful leopard enclosure. ( H: You should have seen the leopards! Tell him what the leopards were doing Adrienne!!! *said all excitedly* A: *straight-faced and monotone* They were growling.) *giggles* I guess sometimes I'm not one for words. I've been told I'm not a great storyteller. Blah, Blah. I also learned a lot about myself. I think experiences can really open your eyes to things and to people. 'Nuff said. The drive home was -exhausting- though! I was fighting the whole way home to not fall asleep. I also got pulled over for the first time ever in my life. I had just merged onto the interstate and thought it was 60 mph. Unbeknownst to me it was a construction zone, so it was only 45...

pink keychains

Recently, my health really sucks. It seems like I’m always getting something, wether it’s a stomach virus or a tooth ache. Which wouldn’t seem out of the ordinary, I do work with sick children all day. But I’ve been doing that for the past 5 years and I haven’t been this sick before. I’m chalking it up to stress. I have been stressed lately....moving and financial trouble. All that worrying has probably just opened the door for whatever feels like skipping on through. What really sucks though is my tooth. My dentist thinks I might have to have a root canal on a tooth that I just had a crown put on last summer!! Less than a year ago. And to top it off I keep having all of this bloody mucous from a sinus infection and I might have an abscess on the roof of my mouth. *grumbles* It’s not pleasant. But I have since moved and I have since made out an excellent budget, so I’m on the upside of things. I have also planned a trip in June which I am VERY excited about it, even if it is for a week...

Energy problems

It's not really a problem, it's just the fact that I seem to have run out. I have none left. I want to crawl into bed and sleep for a week! But alas, I have to work for the next 14 days straight and I'm -still- moving and cleaning crap and unpacking. I don't think Rufus (My aunt's cat) is liking Shayde being there. I love Shayde, but I love my sanity more. I don't like having to constantly keep an eye on them to make sure they don't kill each other. *wrinkles nose* Someone threw something incredibly disgusting smelling in the trash from their lunch. I'm too tired to empty it, but not too tired to complain about it. *LOL* I think I need a vacation!

Wedding overview

A day in perspective. I just wanted to jot this down for memory’s sake so here goes: I woke up at 6 am because I mistakenly left a plastic bag on my floor and my cat decided it would be a cool toy to play with. I growled and jumped out of bed, throwing the bag in the trash and grumbling at my cat. I didn’t have to leave my house until 9 so I had some time to kill. Cut to me sitting dumbly in front of my computer, sleepily staring out of the window and yawning. Right then a bird decided to fly right into my sliding glass door. The door was open, but not much. Shayde (the cat) grabbed the bird and ran over to me, dropping it at my feet as if he had just killed the thing. You should have seen him, he was so proud. I threw him in my room and picked up the bird. There were no puncture marks but I was afraid it had broken it’s neck. It was still breathing though and blinking so I decided it had just stunned itself. I sat it outside and closed the door. Within a couple of minutes it was up sh...

The Big Day

Image
So this is the day of the wedding! We had rehearsals last night. They went well I think. Even though I’m pretty clear on what is going to happen and what I’m supposed to be doing, I’m still nervous. It helps that they are making it an extremely fast wedding! Their vows consist of “I do, yes, yes, yes” and that’s it, no repeating anything. Have I mentioned they are sort of doing a non-traditional type of wedding mixed with a very traditional wedding? It’s hard to explain. I think I got some great photos of the rehearsal though. The groom looked so scared and the little ring bearer guy is so adorable! I had my nails done on Wednesday and already I’ve had to ‘fix’ them. At first I thought about using white out…but I was told that was tacky, so white fingernail polish it is. I really don’t see the difference though *grumbles. This morning we’re off to have our hair done and get all ready. I’m very excited for her, but I’m also so ready for this to be over, it’s killing my stomach. I think ...

You can't outgrow it

Let me start off saying that I cannot wait for this week and weekend to be over. I don’t think I have ever looked forward to a Monday so much before! I’m saying this because the -BIG- wedding is Saturday. We have rehearsals on Friday night and then we’re getting hair done on Saturday morning and the wedding is Saturday night. I’m nervous, I’ve never been a bridesmaid before, heck, I’ve never been to a big wedding like this before, let alone actually being in it! I got my nails done yesterday and I look oh so girly now...except when I stick out my tongue, which I do often! *lol* Then I just look like a brat! *grins* A question: “What have you -NOT- outgrown?” This is pretty simple actually. Don’t laugh though *glares* o Whenever I watch a scary movie, I don’t cover my eyes, I cover my ears. My mother said that I used to do that when I was little kid every time I got scared. My eyes would get -huge- and I’d just slap my hands over my ears. Oh yeah, I still do that! o When I get really ne...

Am I Bette-like?

I had an appt. with my allergist yesterday at 9am. So, me not being a morning person, I'm sorta still really sleepy. In the waiting room I was struggling to keep my eyes open, trying to focus on anything. This older lady across from me kept clearing her throat annoyingly. The nurse interupted my death glares and called me back to a room but the doctor was taking a long time and there were no annoying people to keep me entertained here, so I started playing with my Ipod, shuffling through songs and such, almost falling asleep. After a lifetime the doctor strolls in the room and I put the Ipod on the table beside me. He catches my movement and zero's in on the Ipod. Suddenly this man who came into the room with this bored expression on his face turns into a 10 year old boy --> "OH! Wow, is this like one of the original ones? It's so big, can I look at it?" To which he sits down in the chair and starts looking through my songs. *blinks* I'm slightly amused by ...
