Nine Days

I wonder why clouds inspire deep thinking. I wonder if Bailey thinks she is protecting me or thinks that I am going to protect her when she runs to me and turns around and barks. Work is too slow, but at least I have work. Calm before the storm.

I think I'm going to downsize and get rid of my flickr page. Facebook and my portfolio are far more accessible and easy to navigate.

Shirtless

I have a lot to learn for someone who never did wear their heart on their sleeve.

Against Me

I had dreams of being held down and given IV's in my arms. The pinch should have only lasted a second, but it hurt a lot worse than it should have and for a long time. They were wearing red shirts. The environments kept changing but I kept running and they kept chasing.

In This

Words have to be rebuilt like walls, to have any meaning vicarious A promise I would drown to keep it A tidbit of information, free: An overabundance of thoughts can even make raw ramen taste funny.

Forms

Considering there are no footholds Close it with concrete stop it no matter what it takes arch through thresholds and never sleep again on staircases made of sand - This is stupid. I wish I could express myself better. I'm afraid if I don't get something out, in some way... You've gotta stop putting sandbags up at some point.

Shake

Breathing only half the air Pushing, Shaking, Running, Fighting Without moving

It's Not All

I can't imagine ... _________. I can't process. I can only look at the ruble of walls that were broken down with sincerity. I can only rub my itchy palms, that want nothing more than to start building again, on the sides of my legs. I can only taste the blood from biting back frustrated whispers. I can only watch hands made of metal shuffle slowly over numbers, again and again.

In between moving boxes, driving trucks, snuggling with Bailey and Wren (B.C. is not a snuggler), hanging pictures, and putting up with cranky vacationers, I've actually managed to read a little bit. Blood Sins by Kay Hooper was a fast read. I would compare it to The X-Files meets the X-Men. A branch of the government that investigates paranormal happenings where the agents themselves possess paranormal abilities. Fun! The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larson was heavy. It took a while and I didn't care a bit for the political John Grisham court/law stuff. I was also thrown that "the girl with the tattoo" wasn't the main character. Very well written though. I really, really enjoyed this book and can't wait to see what they do with the movie. Ill Wind was a light read. It's the first in a trilogy about people who can control the weather. I'm on the second book of it right now. Looking out the window. I'm thinking Bailey might like to take a s...

Easter Weekend 2010

I've learned that driving a 14 foot moving truck isn't as hard as it looks. Unless you are driving through Chattanooga during horrible traffic. Those trucks should come with a CD player, not joking! Traffic jams are insufferable without one! My tag team driver in the pace car did a terrific job considering she had two free roaming felines and a dog that refused to be sedated. It was a long trip but we made it all in once piece. The picnic table is heaven in the morning! Still helping during the unpacking and decorating process. Going to the beach is a great needed buffer for that! The weather has been beautiful and I am so glad that everyone seems to be happy. Well, not everyone... but I think everything happens for a reason and a lot of learning and growing up needs to be done for happiness to be reached. Hope that everyone had a great weekend. We had one of the busiest easters at the restaurant in years. So glad that I got to work it!
