Heat, Concerts, and Bowling
Oh my!
The past 3 days have been C R A Z Y !! <- Notice the double exclamation points for emphasis.
Thursday
Wake up at 6 to go to work. I leave work around 1:30 because I have to pick up Holly and I know it takes her like 30 minutes from the time she says she's ready, to the time we can actually walk out the door. Then it's off to Nashville. (note to self: don't drink before trips) We stopped like 3 times to use the bathroom. The concert was at the riverside park i.e. OUTSIDE. It was so incredibly hot we were sweating just sitting there in the grass, in the shade! I can just imagine what the bands felt like. I had to buy Holly 3 bottles of water because she was turning a reddish pink color. Of course that could have been a reaction from the guitarist from (one of the bands- I can't remember their name) sitting next to her and giving her a lot of attention. The concert was amazing though. We went there to see Tegan and Sara and they were great. Holly even got an autograph from Sara. We actually left the park around 10:30 and I dropped Holly off around 1:30. Yes...we stopped to pee a lot on the way back too, but this time it was Holly, not me. I think I dropped into bed around 2:15am.
Friday
My alarm went off at 6 and I thought it was hilarious because it felt like I had just went to sleep. Worked all day and then I met up with the family at Sagebrush and had some Excellent hotwings. Thanks Scot for the introduction, we get along great. Then it was off to midnight Bowling. Blacklights, disco music, disco ball, beer.....and no airconditioning. It was hot, but fun.
I went to bed around 2:00am again knowing this is going to catch up to me sometime soon.
Saturday
I roll out of bed around 12 to use the bathroom and then don't wake up again until 5 in the afternoon. I sit up in bed to take stock of myself and find out that nothing is really wrong ( no headache, no nausea) I'm just really, really hungry. I have to meet Cherie in an hour. I knew I should have set my alarm. I convince her to drive through taco bell though, so it's all good. We have tickets to see Kelly Clarkson at 7:30. No, I am not afraid to admit I like Kelly Clarkson and I don't care if you think its funny. Live a little. Well, it was pretty packed. I'm guessing like 1,000 or more. It's a small auditorium compared to the stadium. But it's really hot! We later find out the airconditioning is broken. Beginning to see the trend? But she was amazing. She really puts on a good show.
After the concert it was off to Kim's house for more fun to be had. I found it. I got home around 2am and proceeded to lose all of it into the toilet. But I felt SO MUCH better. It was a blast!
