The Big Day

So this is the day of the wedding! We had rehearsals last night. They went well I think. Even though I’m pretty clear on what is going to happen and what I’m supposed to be doing, I’m still nervous. It helps that they are making it an extremely fast wedding! Their vows consist of “I do, yes, yes, yes” and that’s it, no repeating anything. Have I mentioned they are sort of doing a non-traditional type of wedding mixed with a very traditional wedding? It’s hard to explain. I think I got some great photos of the rehearsal though. The groom looked so scared and the little ring bearer guy is so adorable!
I had my nails done on Wednesday and already I’ve had to ‘fix’ them. At first I thought about using white out…but I was told that was tacky, so white fingernail polish it is. I really don’t see the difference though *grumbles.
This morning we’re off to have our hair done and get all ready. I’m very excited for her, but I’m also so ready for this to be over, it’s killing my stomach. I think I’ll bring my Ipod and chill out to Enya beforehand. And just a message to those coming to the wedding for the SOLE PURPOSE to see me in a pink dress and my hair all fixed up. Bite me! Hahahaha

    I would very much like to see you in the pink dress! It's so incredibly out of character for you that it is the PERFECT photo opportunity. Babe, you've got to take pictures. I'M BEGGING you! See. now I'm going to be all fussy that people have gotten to see this but not me. *grumps*
    Just the same, you know you'll have a blast and soon it will be over and your hair will be all chopped off. Relax! Enjoy! ^___^ Eat, drink, be merry!

Losing Money

That's what my bosses are doing today. They make us work on Memorial Day and then question why we aren't busy. But hey, why should I care? I'm getting paid to sit here and read. It's just that sometimes I can't help feeling I'm stuck in a Saturday detention. Doesn't help that half of the employees called in 'sick' today. Maybe I'm just jealous and bitter. I did have a wonderful weekend though! We went to the lake on Saturday and couldn't have asked for better weather. Had a BBQ, soaked up some sun, went home and slept. I watched Trainspotting while I unpacked some more boxes. It was disturbing to say the least and the baby, TRAUMATIZING. Johnny Lee Miller is absolutely adorable though. On Sunday we went to the theater and saw Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End . I was a little 'iffy' about it because I had read it was over 2 1/2 hours long. So this is INCREDIBLY rambly...just had to get some things out! Life is.... interesting I feel..... everything One moment I feel very adult-like. I have responsibilities, a career (even if it's one I don't like). I have bills to pay and I'm budgeting my money. I make wise choices and investments. I help people with their problems and I am a shoulder to cry on. I fix things and I'm in complete control. I know how the world works and I feel comfortable with that.
