Dumb Conversations continued

Another dumb conversation I had today. Part of my job is to call insurance companies to check eligibility and doctor assignments. I had to change a doctor on a policy, check it out:

Operator: How may I help you?
Me: I need to change the doctor on a patients plan, please.
blah blah, I give her all the information. LOOONG silence.
Me: We called in June to change this, but it looks like it was never done.
Operator: Silence
Me: Hello?!
Operator: Yeah!?
Me: Is there a problem?
This is where she starts giving me eligibility (Something I didn't ask for)
Me: I just need to change the doctor, please.
Operator: It looks like it was never done.
Me: (Trying really hard not to lose my patience) I KNOW! That's why I'm calling. That's what I am TRYING to do here!
Operator: Oh, I see, okay. I can't do that from this terminal, let me transfer you.
Me: (Bangs head on the desk)

But on a lighter note it's snowing!!!! Yipee! I love the snow. If only it would stick to the ground. Or as people around here say "I wish it would LAY" c.C Who's ever heard of THAT before??

I've been having a lot of headaches lately. I'm chalking it up to holiday stress and the fact that we are SO BUSY at work, but I've also been having a lot of nose bleeds lately. I KNOW this is probably due to the fact that the air is dryer because we are running our heaters. Everything can be explained, but still....Doesn't make ME feel any better! LOL

So I shall share the snow!! Have a look see, oh, and check out my aunt's bizarre looking mixed breed of a dog Becca. HEHEHEHE

  1. You know, I chalk your story up to the fact I'm coming to realize more and more everyday---PEOPLE DON'T LISTEN!!! They really really don't. You can talk until your head falls off and people only listen when they decide to. The woman on the phone is the perfect textbook case of NOT LISTENING.

AS for the snow...GOOOOD I'm so jealous!!!!! I wish it would snow here. We've had ice which is actually a very good and rare thing here in FL! I h ope it continues but I'm doubting it will. All the same, keep your fingers crossed that I'll have a little snow when I visit. *_* That would be WOOOOOOOOOOOOONDERFUL. LOVE The pics! Becca never looked so proud.
