Quick Read
My aunt threw a book on my desk this weekend called Glass Houses by Rachel Caine. It's a young adult book so it only took me a day in half to read it. It was pretty entertaining. It ended with a cliffhanger though. *grumbles* Vampires are always fun though. Good weekend read. As soon as I finished that I picked up Life of Pi. I've been seeing it everywhere and I hear it's really good. It's started out VERY good. From the back it's about a young boy who gets stranded on a life boat with a Bengal Tiger and must overcome some pretty huge odds. But he survives. I think it might be based on a true story too. I could be wrong though. I will look into that to make sure.
On Saturday morning, it was like any other morning. I woke up and was stretching in bed. All of the sudden I hear a 'wet' pop in my neck and I suddenly can't move it!! Now it happens on occasion that I will turn my neck wrong and get a sudden sharp burning/pain sensation..but it goes away fairly quickly. OH NO, this wasn't going away!! It hurt!! And I couldn't move my neck at all. Well, not without getting a lurching sensation in my stomach and the feeling that I could pass out. I had to stop by work anyway and it turns out I just pulled a muscle I guess. I've been living off of Ibuprofen and heating pads all weekend. I'm feeling much better today, but Saturday was HECK!
Yesterday my aunt and I saw The Pursuit of Happyness with Will Smith. It was a very feel good movie, but I must admit that it was very slow at some points. I found myself nodding off and looking at the ceiling or my phone. But at the end, it was worth it. I didn't know it was also based on a true story as well. It's such an inspiring story!! My favorite quote "Never let anyone tell you that you can't do something!"

You read so much! You read more than me and I'm supposed to be the librarian!
ReplyDeleteYou and your vamps! *lol* IT's ok. You've got vamps and I've got shoes. IT balances out in the end.
