Mysterious Medical Marvel

Bailey got a purple Mohawk yesterday!! She absolutely loved it. We went to the vet and mom's work to show it off. (She had an appt. I didn't just show up, that would be weird).
My friends and family always tease me that I can't be normal at anything...even when it comes to illnesses. About 7 weeks ago I noticed my legs were covered in petechia, well from my knees to my ankles, on both legs. I asked the docs I work for and they didn't seem that concerned about it...maybe I was shaving too hard or had rubbed my skin raw. So I watched it for about 3 weeks. It started to spread so I made an appointment with my family doctor. He prescribed prednisone and did some blood work. (I had a weird reaction to getting my blood drawn. My blood pressure bottomed out and it felt like I was fainting, but I never did lose consciousness...just couldn't see or hear anything and had the worst tingles in my hands and feet!) The first night I started it I had INTENSE cramps and my muscles kept twitching and jumping. If your eye has ever twitched, it was like that but all over my calves and shins. I sort of panicked and called the doctor asking if the meds were causing it. He said no, keep taking them and eat a banana....yeah, thanks! The spots went away but the twitching and cramps were still around. Not as bad as that first night, but still noticeable. After 12 days I was finally finished taking the steroids! Woo Hoo, problem solved. 2 days later the spots are back and there are more of them and it's above my knees now. Great! I go back to the doctor and he actually sees my muscles twitch. He orders more blood work (I see spots again even though I'm lying down this time...such a nerd!). Blood work comes back and my CRP protein is 21.2. I think the normal range is 0-1 or below 10. Ssssoooo this means I have a problem...and inflammation/infection problem. He's sending me to the neurologist. Lupus, unfortunately, runs in my family....but it could be a lot of things I suppose. I'm not too worried.....I think the thing I'm most worried about is the testing the neurologist is going to do.
On to happier news, the kitchen is looking amazing. I finally have pictures up on my flickr page..as promised I might add! Go me! I think we'll be completely done by this weekend. We just have to paint and put the flooring in. I'm so excited!
I also think I'll have a lot of the drawings done for the clinic. Hopefully I'll have something to show for it by Monday.
Oh my goodness! I hope everything will be okay! :( *hug* Even if you're not worried, I'm definitely concerned! I'll be praying for you! Love ya girl! :)
