What does it take to kill a cockroach?
  • 2 cats
  • 1 sword
  • 1 high-heeled flip-flop
It's amazing what an insects mere presence can reduce us humans to. Mootchie spotted the booger but chased it into a closet. He was doing a decent job of hunting but I wanted to bring in reinforcements. I grabbed Pagles from the bookshelf (where he likes to sleep) and gently set him down next to Mootchie in the closet. He looked around and then up at me like I was completely crazy and walked out. I tried to talk some sense into him, but he was having none of it. A sword was drawn while Pagles and I cuddled on the floor, watching the action. A bed was torn apart as the prey made a break for it. Despite the swords amazing abilities on the battlefield, it was a foam flip-flop that saved the day. Mootchie walked around for hours with a chip on his shoulder while Pagles obliviously cleaned his tail and chased a bottle cap.

Work has been busy. Busy enough to keep me busy. It's a good thing, Martha said so.

  1. The sword was a diversionary tactic. While the roach focused on the gleaming blade, I executed my attack with the unassuming looking flipflop. My plan was a complete success.
