Atlantis
I finished the Atlantis series by Riddle. It was incredibly good. Part sci-fi, romance, mystery, fantasy, science, history, geography. The trilogy had it all. I would highly recommend it, but they are "thinker" books. I'm still thinking about them. Sometimes the science and genetic therapy was a little bit hard to follow, but it didn't detract from the overall story. Five stars!

Evan had scooted into the meeting, barely. She nodded her head at Greg as he took his seat across from her at the conference table. He didn't return the gesture. Evan fiddled her pen nervously back on forth on the shiny surface, making a loud clicking noise. Greg clenched his jaw noticeably and raised an eyebrow in her direction. She sheepishly covered her pen with her other hand, effectively stilling her movements.
"Okay Evan, here's the deal. I'm not going to sugar coat it. The only reason that we are having this meeting is because you've been with the agency for a long time. You've saved a lot of lives. Were it anyone else, ANYONE else, they would have been quietly let go. Honestly, if it were up to me, I would let you go. I don't think you need the added stress of this job. I don't think you are CAPABLE of returning to this job. I think you need to recover as much as you can from the accident and live the best life that you possibly can. Take a vacation or read a fucking book. But, it's not up to me..."
She rolled her eyes at his pseudo caring and tried her best to focus. It was a losing battle and her attention started to waver. Her gaze wandered to the glass wall and the hallway beyond. Evan's eyes locked with Ryelle's. The woman was leaning against the glass wall staring into the conference room. Staring at Evan.
..."of course you will not be returning to active duty. You will be assigned a desk and given tasks that have been approved by me that I think you are capable of handling. It's a good deal and one that I can't believe is being offered." Greg noticed Evan wasn't paying attention and snapped his fingers inches from her nose.
"HEY! Evan. Have you heard anything I've been saying? Are you kidding me? If you can't handle a 10 minute meeting, how the fuck do you plan to handle a job?" Greg didn't wait for her answer, instead he started gathering his papers and shaking his head, radiating frustration and disgust. He stood up and walked over to the door. He looked back and Evan still wasn't focused, her eyes seeing something that his could not. "Fucking ridiculous. Now I'm a god damn babysitter."
