Nightmare
Alright, I don’t know if it was from checking out the Texas Chainsaw new movie (which I saw a WEEK ago) or what. I’m really confused about where this came from. What is this? This incredibly horrible and VIVID dream that I had last night. And this time it did –not- feature a tornado, which was just weird in itself. So here goes, My dream:
For some reason we open up on a cruise ship. The ship has docked though and we’re somewhere in the States because no one on shore has an accent. Apparently, I’m by myself with no family or friends on board.
Cut to me on a four wheeler. A very –small- one. I’m sort of riding along on this trail that is like in the middle of a park. It’s a paved trail and in front of me it turns into a road that goes straight up this very steep hill. You can’t see up the hill though, it looks like a bunch of dirt piles and construction stuff going on up there. I’m going –VERY- slow. I mean honestly I could have gotten off and walked faster. In fact this group of women were cutting in front of me and I stopped because these girls ( maybe 3 or 4 ) were crossing and holding hands and the last little girl stopped and looked at me and I smiled. Suddenly she was holding and kitten and held it up for me. I took it and cooed and then gave it back to her. They were crossing to my right where this playground was.
I continued on but the bike started sputtering and I realized I had run out of gas. I growled and got off. Right then this police cruiser comes down the hill pretty fast and straight towards me. I push the four-wheeler off the road and the car stops. This female police officer gets out and she’s crying so hard she can barely talk. She had shoulder length reddish brown curly hair that was a bit frizzled. I’m just sort of looking at her and she chokes out “They’re all dead. There is so much blood. There shouldn’t be that much blood. All of them, he shot all of them.” I didn’t even say anything but I’m thinking “WHO??” She looks right at me and said “My husband.” I look up to the hill and I don’t see anything. She tells me that he’s coming down here, we all need to hide. I said, “NO! We need to run, we need to get everyone out of here!!” To which she replied, “No! He won’t shoot them if they aren’t moving!” I’m thinking THAT’S CRAZY!!!
I feel a very strong urge to look back up at the hill and I see a man slowly walking with a gun in his hand. It’s so bright though, that I only see his silhouette. I turn and I’m yelling at everyone to run, but psycho police lady is right behind me telling them to crouch down and not move and they LISTEN TO HER!!!!!
I see the little girl and I run and grab her, putting her on my hip so I could run with her. I told her to hold on tight and no matter what, don’t let go. She nodded and squeezed her legs around me and held on across my shoulders. Before I could start running though she whispered in my ear “You have to bring the kitten. It’s very important.” I turn around with the little girl and see the kitten sitting a few feet away just staring. I crouch to pick it up and I hear gunshots. They’re so loud I can’t hear anything else. I look up and the man has shot his wife, the police woman and has started shooting all of the other women with the small kids. When the other’s realize the whole “not running thing” isn’t working they get up and start running but he’s just shooting them in the backs. It was so vivid though….how they’re body would rock backwards, and their face expressions, the tears. All of this happens in seconds and then I’m running so hard. I look down and the kitten even has it’s paws wrapped around my arm. And then I woke up.

Jeezus! THat's one hell of a dream, babe. I can see why you found it disturbing though I have to say I was glad to see your dream self had enough sense to not fall for that 'don't run' bit. People say that about certain animals but really! How can you not? Especially when the man has a damned gun, In any case....I can see where youw ould be confused about where this dream came from. I would be too. O.o But at the same time, it's kind of cool. I mean I'm sure I wouldn't think it was if I had it but I did like that you got to play hero. ^___^ Right on, girl!
