Creating Road Blocks
Sometimes, when things get plopped in front of you they can seem overwhelming. Even if you were dumb enough to put those obstacles there yourself. It's as if suddenly you have blinders on and you can't see anything with perspective. You just see raging rivers and you're blind to the bridges that cross them. I think this phenomenon makes us human.
I imposed a deadline on myself. I told my client I would be finished with the Star Wars project by the end of the week. C.c I'm not really sure this is possible, but I tend to find out. That's obstacle #1.
#2 My aunt's continual talking to the dogs as if they are human and scolding them likewise is making me grind my teeth at night. I've also had to distance myself from sharp objects in the fear of harming her. (Just kidding about that last part).
#3 My grandfather is not faring well. He's been battling lung cancer for a few years now but in the past few months it has gotten worse. We just learned this weekend the new medication he was trying didn't work and his tumor grew. I have the same thoughts about this as I did with my grandmother. They both led a very full and exciting life. It wasn't always pleasant but it was FULL. I'm just so sad that the ending has to be so painful and drawn out. I don't think this has slowed him down any. When we called, his wife was telling us he was outside feeding the goats. *LAUGHS* I can't picture him any other way than constantly 'doing' something. Nothing holds him back. I can only imagine how my mother feels though.
#4 I get to work today and the only other person who helps me in the front office has called in. We do end of the month work today so basically everyone is busy and I'm by myself. -_- This is a "blinder" moment where I start seething, but it actually works out. Yeah, I'm working my tail off but the time is going by much faster and we only have two doctors so I'm not OVER working. See, there IS a silver lining.
In my life a lot of crappy things have happened....but it seems to me that everything works out. I just need to learn to have faith, listen to the wise people around me and learn to be selfish every once in a while. ON THAT NOTE!!! It's 6 days until my Birthday!!!!!
