Zombie Squirrels Notwithstanding

We have a dry erase bored in our office and sometimes I get in a goofy mood and draw things on it. All appropriate of course, I mean..I do work in an office surrounded by children. Yesterday afternoon I was doodling during a slow period and I ended up drawing a Zombie squirrel. It was nothing exciting. A 1st grader could have drawn it. It was just two circles with arms sticking out and a huge tail with zombie eyes. *shrugs* I thought it was cute. You wouldn't believe the stir this critter caused. I walked in this morning and everyone is asking me why I drew a zombie squirrel. It was funny at first but after the 5th question I was getting pretty irritated. Why the freak does it matter???? Is a zombie squirrel -SO- outlandish? My goodness.
I watched "Stomp the Yard" last night. It was very entertaining, but not that much different, story wise, from "Drumline". I would recommend it just for the incredible dancing though. Wow!!
I also finished reading "Sacred Ground" by Mercedes Lackey, my favorite author in the entire world! How I came into possession of this book is pretty funny. I took it from a library in Florida while I was on vacation. I have contacts... we flew under the radar. But no worries, I'm mailing it back. LOL. That way other people might be just as entertained as I was by this book. Lackey has a definite 'style'. She likes characters more than plots almost. Which can be forgivable, i think, because her characters are AMAZING! It was also very cool because the book takes place in the towns I grew up in around Oklahoma, like Tulsa, Broken Arrow, and Claremore. I also connected with the Indian vibe and how a lot of the Indians failed to 'claim' themselves because that is what my great grandfather did. He also, unfortunately, changed his name in order to blend in. I really wish I was more knowledgeable of my heritage. I'm going to make a point to really ask a lot of questions when we go back this June to visit the relatives.

The book is yours, I tell you! If people really want to experience Lackey they ought to just acquire the book. *smirks* See, I only check out books for the sake of convenience. If I'm not sure about a book, I'll check it out. That or if I'm poor but usually if I really REALLY want to read something I'll buy it. Then again, I do have this MINE MINE MINE attitude which can be a really bad thing, I suppose.
I'm still getting over this Podunk thing. I cannot believe you don't know about BFE but are spouting all of these other crazy hickisms all over the place. It boggles the mind. As for the Zombie Squirrel...
YOU HO!!!! I LOVE SQUIRRELS AND I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO SEE THE ZOMBIE SQUIRREL!!!!!!! YOU'd better draw another one for me to see or else I'm going to be very very hurt. *sniffles* DO IT GIRL!
