My Weekend
Had a pretty phenomenal one if I do say so myself. I took off on friday and drove up to Cincinnati to go see Tegan and Sara. I've been there before, but for some reason you top that hill on the interstate and the city is just there. It's HUGE! I liked it though. There were a LOT of homeless begging for money which is pretty standard in any city, I know. I saw some of the funniest signs though. This dude in a wheelchair who had no legs was carrying around a sign that said "Give me $1 and I'll kick you in the face." Later that evening he came by and the sign had changed to, "I need money for shoes." He was hilarious. I also saw a couple that read "Alcohol research team."
I got there pretty early, as die hard fans must, and saw none other than SARA QUIN standing outside the venue. I got an autograph and took a couple of pictures for people standing in line. It was killer, totally made my night. The concert itself was one of the best ones that I've been to of theirs. The audience was hilarious and I think the girl's really got into it. I also met some pretty cool people in line. It's crazy how standing in one place for 5 hours can lead to meeting so many different people.
Drove back on saturday and basically chilled. On sunday I gave my mom a japanese maple and made dinner. Tilapia, broccoli, and some killer peruvian potatoes. I can't ever remember what they are really called, but they seem to be a hit with everyone. They have a hot sauce, lime juice, and then as garnish boiled eggs and black olives. HEAVEN. I'm not even kidding.
In other news I got another job at a coffee shop. I'm saving up some dough to pay everything off and my medical bills. Then I want to concentrate on saving up for a cross country trip. I'm really stoked about it and hope the money piles up quickly!
^_^ CAUSA! It's called Causa and I'm really glad you guys love my little peruvian dish so much. (Well, ok, I can't call it mine since I've made it ONCE in my life and when -I- made it the sauce was soooo runny it was prettyd disgusting.) I'll bet yours was kickass! Also, congrats ont he second job....IF you decide to take it. Hahahaha
