Number Eight

It's hard to have a 'case of the mondays when you can't even really remember what day it is. I don't think that's a bad thing at all either. I love it in fact. Not having a traditional job is where it's at. Today's fun fact of the day!
I'm not struggling for money by any means. I do want to pay everything off really quickly though. I hate being in debt. This has caused my shoulder to tense again. I thought it was from lifting trays laden with heavy plates and food, but alas, it is my right shoulder that is spasming and I lift with my left. Friends are awesome. Especially friends with families who have the 'hook up' and that's all that I'll say about that. The long term cure is getting a great paying job with a minimal amount of work though. That would make my muscles relax! DREAM BIG!
I had to break down and buy new pants. I went to ROSS because everyone knows you can 'dress for less' there! It's a crazy experience clothes shopping at clearance places like that. I feel like you have to become something animalistic. You go into 'search' mode. You claim territories (racks of clothing) and you almost want to snarl at the women who encroach upon your land. But instead you give them the look and position your body in almost a guard like stance over the area of hangers you are currently perusing. Nonverbal discouragement. And when you do find that little nugget of treasure buried amongst clothes not even a blind 80 year old would wear, you feel so triumphant. I imagine it's comparable to the feeling the Plains Indians' used to get when they caught a fish on a particularly 'hungry' day. Oh yeah, I bought a black button down dress shirt too. It was an impulse buy, what can I say?
So another week and another hurricane right? Heard any jokes about it being named 'Ike' and wanting to really lay down the punches? No? Me neither, but it's funny in my head. Not that domestic violence is by any means funny...I'm just saying. The projected path looks promising but once it hits the gulf, well, anything is possible. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I'm also on the lookout for a puzzle. I went to three or four stores yesterday looking for a really cool one and had no luck. I'm beginning to think that puzzles are being 'phased out'...like books and paper money. Everything is a conspiracy. They want us to become dependent on technology so what better way then to stop the production of jigsaw puzzles? Think about it.
