The Assignment
So I've been given an Assignment and here it is. To voice my opinions or thoughts on the Food Network. It's like an addiction I swear! Namely, I try to catch Paula Deen (which isn't my top favorite, but someone I know likes watching her very much!) Italian Cooking with Giada and 30 Minute Meals with Rachel Ray! Also, on Sunday nights there is a relatively new show called The Next Food Network Star! This is a must watch!!
Okay Paula Deen. Her accent is very distracting and while sometimes she does remind me of older relatives I have and she does cook really tasty looking meals, I still can't get past her accent. It's also very fun to make vomitting noises when she puts a whole stick of butter on a plate full of food. This woman is Butter obsessed!
Then there is Giada. She is beautiful! We often compare her to the girl in High School that you loved to hate. She's beautiful and classy and sort of arrogant. But really fun to watch. I don't think she's made anything I would ever eat though...maybe some of the desserts and drinks.
RACHEL RAY! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Rachel! She's so down to earth and accessible. I want her to be my friend. It would be so funny to have Rachel and Giada in a cooking show together because they are so different. Giada is all about measurments and Rachel is all about "eye-balling" it. *shakes head* Making those two cook a meal would be priceless.
The Next Food Network Star is almost as good as Survivor! (The only other reality show I'm hooked on) I love seeing so many different personalities competing with each other for the same thing. There is this girl ( I really can't remember her name) who I never really payed attention to much. She's very nervous. But last weeks episode it's like something clicked and she was all confident. She basically rocked! So I'm pulling for her to win the whole show. We're hoping bald guy gets the boot, him and his arrogance needs to go!
And to quote Forrest Gump "That's all I got to say about that".

ReplyDeletePaula Deen is just too much fun. I couldn't stand her when I first started watching Food Network but Annabel and I watched a thanksgiving special with her once and died laughing over the way she would pronounce things and of course the copious amounts of butter she would cook with.
Giada reminds me of my best friend. THey're BOTH meticulous in their measurements and besides...their style of speaking is the same. their gestures! ALL Of it. The difference is that while Jerri is thin, she doesn't have a tiny body and huge head.
I'm SOOOOO with you about Rachael. She's the best one. She's spunky and out there and she's all about the quick easy but tasty fix. PERFECT! Rachael Ray is bursting with energy and personality so she makes it all so entertaining...and even when she messes up it only means she's more human.
COME ON CARISSA!!!! BEAT NATHAN!!!! Though...Guy is probably the one who will win. Still, Carissa did kick ass and she needs to keep that up. GO TEAM!!!! LET'S KICK ASS AND ROOT FOR THE WOMAN!!!...Cause the bald guy...and Reggie are annoying and I'm thinking that Guy is starting to get there too. PHEW Anyway...good rant baby.
