Three Songs

I'm in agreement with someone I know, that music is an incredibly important part of life. It can cheer you up, it can rile you up, and it can also soothe you among other things. Three songs for me:

A song that makes me sad: Okay, this one was easy. Sarah McLachlan "Full of Grace". If I'm in the right kind of mood this song actually makes me cry. I have a very vivid memory of driving down the road only a couple of days after my grandmother died and I actually had to pull over because I couldn't see the road from crying so much.

A song that makes me all hyper: Don't laugh! But I swear everytime I hear Britney Spear's "...Baby one more time" I almost scream! I get all bouncy and I sing the words VERY LOUDY!! Anyway...moving on!!

Picking a song that is embarrassing is a little bit harder because I listen to very embarrassing music sometimes, (see above). I looked at my playlist though and I have to say the most embarrassing thing right now is Vanilla Ice. I usually try to sing along with that one too, but it is SSOOO cheesy!

A song that is on repeat right now on my Ipod though is Shakira's "Eyes like yours" I love it! I also love her new song "hips don't lie" but I haven't downloaded that one yet. BUT today I received an amazing gift, the soundtrack to the movie Crash! A wonderful movie, if you haven't seen it you must! The music though is so incredibly haunting. I love it so. THANK YOU and you will soon see what I mean!

    *GRINS* You're the biggest cheeseball on the planet! BRITNEY somehow had to make her way into this rant of yours didn't she? *LOL* I'm teasing you because, I'd be just a little ashamed to admit that I kind of like that one too...Though SOMETIMES is really the one I like...But yeah! I sometimes sing Britney and then catch myself and feel the urge to boil my tongue...But I don't. Hahahaha! AS for Full of Grace...I just don't know what to say about it except that's so very sweet and I understand completely. Music can be a very powerful thing.
    And....DE NADA, MI AMOR! ^__^ I do it with great pleasure anytime. I hope you enjoy it GREATLY!

Losing Money

That's what my bosses are doing today. They make us work on Memorial Day and then question why we aren't busy. But hey, why should I care? I'm getting paid to sit here and read. It's just that sometimes I can't help feeling I'm stuck in a Saturday detention. Doesn't help that half of the employees called in 'sick' today. Maybe I'm just jealous and bitter. I did have a wonderful weekend though! We went to the lake on Saturday and couldn't have asked for better weather. Had a BBQ, soaked up some sun, went home and slept. I watched Trainspotting while I unpacked some more boxes. It was disturbing to say the least and the baby, TRAUMATIZING. Johnny Lee Miller is absolutely adorable though. On Sunday we went to the theater and saw Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End . I was a little 'iffy' about it because I had read it was over 2 1/2 hours long. So this is INCREDIBLY rambly...just had to get some things out! Life is.... interesting I feel..... everything One moment I feel very adult-like. I have responsibilities, a career (even if it's one I don't like). I have bills to pay and I'm budgeting my money. I make wise choices and investments. I help people with their problems and I am a shoulder to cry on. I fix things and I'm in complete control. I know how the world works and I feel comfortable with that. In between this breath and the next I'm on my ass. Things aren't like that at all. Am I just fooling myself? Is it a coping mechanism for us because we are so programed to think that way?
