I'm Thirsty Anyway

"Bring on the Rain" is playing on the radio at work right now. I can't remember who sings it and I'm just too lazy to google it. I know she has red hair. Anyway, it's a fitting song. It has rained for the past 2.5 days. I know I Shouldn't complain though. The northwest and northeast is having TOO much rain. It seems like it's raining everywhere. The dark skies and low hanging clouds just REALLY makes one sleepy! I want to crawl under the covers and read.
I was reading CNN's website this morning. I just like to take a peek at the headlines and try to stay 'in-the-know' with the happenings of the world. I had a good laugh. We have Democrats take the house - Senate pending - 35 killed in suicide bomber attack in Pakistan - Football star murdered in Florida - Sadaam gets death sentence - BRITNEY SPEARS DIVORCE'S. I just had to laugh. Amid all of the NATIONAL headlines she's right up there. Divorce is never a good thing, but I hope that good things will come from it. No one deserves to be unhappy.
My test is tomorrow. Logically I KNOW that PROBABLY everything is normal. HOPEFULLY. But there is still that little devil sitting on my shoulder whispering "what if it's not?" *shrugs* If it's not? We will fix it right? RIGHT!! I should blast some of Britney's music....you know.....to show support!!

    JO DEE MESSINA! ^_^ I have two of her CD's and one of them has that song on it. She's really great, I think. Atleast she was in those two CD's though she has this tendency to be a little corny sometimes. Ah well, it can't be helped.
    Britney may try to redeem herself now. Well, we can only hope, really She's got all kinds of issues, I swear.

Losing Money

That's what my bosses are doing today. They make us work on Memorial Day and then question why we aren't busy. But hey, why should I care? I'm getting paid to sit here and read. It's just that sometimes I can't help feeling I'm stuck in a Saturday detention. Doesn't help that half of the employees called in 'sick' today. Maybe I'm just jealous and bitter. I did have a wonderful weekend though! We went to the lake on Saturday and couldn't have asked for better weather. Had a BBQ, soaked up some sun, went home and slept. I watched Trainspotting while I unpacked some more boxes. It was disturbing to say the least and the baby, TRAUMATIZING. Johnny Lee Miller is absolutely adorable though. On Sunday we went to the theater and saw Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End . I was a little 'iffy' about it because I had read it was over 2 1/2 hours long. So this is INCREDIBLY rambly...just had to get some things out! Life is.... interesting I feel..... everything One moment I feel very adult-like. I have responsibilities, a career (even if it's one I don't like). I have bills to pay and I'm budgeting my money. I make wise choices and investments. I help people with their problems and I am a shoulder to cry on. I fix things and I'm in complete control. I know how the world works and I feel comfortable with that. In between this breath and the next I'm on my ass. Things aren't like that at all. Am I just fooling myself? Is it a coping mechanism for us because we are so programed to think that way?
