South Carolina Tuesdays

Woke up at 7 a.m. this morning. It was pretty fantastic. I don't mind waking up early when I'm on vacation at all. We had a light, but extremely yummy, breakfast and then headed down to Savannah, Georgia. It was only about a 45 minute drive, shorter than I thought. Paula Deen's restaurant was an experience. We must have gotten there just in time because we didn't have to wait at all. You walk up to this little stand and get handed a card with how many people are in your party and then we rode an elevator up to the third floor. I had a grilled cheese sandwich and soup. Walked around a bit but it was kind of overcast and rainy so we didn't get to explore all that much. It's a beautiful, very VERY old city!
Got back and caught a nap. It wasn't very hard, fell right into my hands. Walked around some more, found a really neat shop full of minerals and cool stone beads, dream catchers, and other odds and ends. Think we are going to relax for the rest of the night.
