Miss Me

I had the most AMAZING, awkward, uncomfortable, scary, and realistic dream that I've had in a very long time. This happened during my nap today.
I haven't been feeling well and the weird medical thing has reared its head again. But my dream...

I was in the airport and the windows were larger than normal and faced the water. There was a storm coming. The sky was black. I saw water spouts, six of them. I got on my radio and warned my fellow employees. They started evacuating everyone, but I was staying and helping everyone get out safely. It came down to me and my supervisor and about 30-50 passengers. The storm was on us and the tornados were already eating the building. We ran to the center and got everyone down and covered. The windows crashed, the walls and roof vanished. I remember the glass cutting deeply into my arms. Suddenly it was over. My boss and I stood up along with only about 5 passengers. I didn't question where everyone else went. The airport was just a pile of rubble but the sky was this brilliant blue. He had a sad smile on his face and told me that I should go home, check on everything there. I went to he parking lot. In place of my vehicle there was a large tree. I didn't think about this either, I just started dragging it with me. It was hard but doable. I was walking through a city in someplace that looked like the Oregon coast. Everyone was carrying rubble and the streets were still wet. I was crossing this bridge and knew my home was just up this side of the mountain. This older couple was walking along with me and my tree kept getting smaller. They were talking about their house and how beautiful of a day it was. They asked me about my house and I knew with complete confidence that it survived the storm and then I looked at this large stick I was dragging. It came to me that my home was gone. If I was holding this piece of wood it represented my house. My house was no longer standing. I stopped walking and just stared at this stick. Finally I raised my head and looked at the couple but they were gone. My grandmother was standing there. She was so beautiful and it seemed so normal to me. I looked back at this stick which had shrunken to a very small one at this point. "I think I should set it down." My grandmother smiled and said "I think that will make you feel better." Right then I knew that I hadn't survived the storm. That everyone walking with me, my boss, the few passengers were all dead. Then I woke up.
